Steady progress continues on the construction of Woodward Public School's Early Childhood Development Center on 34th street.
The center is expected to be finished sometime this summer and for educators it will mean the realization of a long-standing community need.
The 67,000 sq ft. facility will allow for the consolidation of pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade levels all under one roof.
According to Westwood Principal Debbie Jones, the state-of-the-art facility will also make possible a full-day curriculum for kindergarten and pre-k for the first time.
