No injuries were reported when a tractor-trailer rig hauling a cargo of milk overturned six miles south of the intersection of Highways 34 and 270.
The southbound tanker overturned around 9:30 Wednesday morning, spilling about 6,000 gallons of milk onto the highway.
The truck was being operated by Isaac Hayes LLC of Meade, Kansas. The 25-year-old driver, whom the OHP declined to identify, was cited for inattentive driving. According to Trooper Jarrett Iliff, he apparently "reached to get a drink and ran off the road".
Units from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Woodward County Sheriff's Office, and the Sharon and Woodward Fire Departments responded to the incident.
A hazardous materials clean-up crew from Clinton was still working to recover the mix of milk and diesel late Wednesday afternoon.
