The Northwest 69 Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. held their annual chili cook-off at the Moose Lodge Saturday. The event was well attended with approximately 300 persons on hand to sample the 27 different entries for the best chili competition.
The occasion also served as a fundraiser to assist 9-year-old Rachel Threlkeld of Woodward. Rachel is scheduled for surgery at the Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, in April and the family could use some help with expenses for that trip.
