Omni Media Group, parent company of KWOX/K101, KOMI-DTV, and KMZE/Z92 of Woodward, Oklahoma, announced today it has finalized plans to donate 2800 new T-shirts to the "Hope for Haiti" organization based in Naples, Florida. The clothing items will be shipped to Haiti along with other much needed supplies to help provide relief to victims of the recent earthquake.
Many phone calls to numerous relief organizations throughout the United States finally resulted in an agreement with "Hope for Haiti" to accept the donation. Still, the logistics of the transportation remained, and after many more phone calls, AAA Cooper Transportation of Dothan, Alabama volunteered to truck the shirts from Oklahoma City to Naples.
Woodward-based Beaver Express then agreed to assist by delivering the shipment to Oklahoma City.
The donated shirts should arrive in Haiti within a week or two.
